2017 Junior Investigator of the Year Award

Nominations are now open for the

2017 Junior Investigator of the Year Award


The nominees will be judged on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Impact of scientific work on the development of disease diagnostics & therapies
  • Innovation
  • Relevant discovery in the past year
  • Overall magnitude of the individual’s contribution on a regional and national level
  • Collegiality & collaboration
  • Service & outreach

Nominees must be fulltime UC Irvine faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
To nominate an individual for this award (self-nominations are accepted), a completed nomination form describing the suitability of the nominee for the criteria noted above will be required. In addition, a NIH Biosketch is requested for review.


Nominations are due by Friday, March 10, 2017
