NIH requires that investigators cite the CTSA grant if they:

  • Received funding through the CTSA
  • Used any CTSA services to support their research

The CTSA relies on these citations as a critical performance measure when reporting annual productivity (publications) to NIH. Please bookmark this site for the NIH-approved citation text to be used in your manuscript.

Here are four common situations and the appropriate citation language for each:

  • I used CTSA facilities or services (e.g., the CRU or core labs; CTSA consultative services such as biostatistics, bioinformatics, volunteer recruitment, etc).
